The gate swung wide wide open
I stepped into this garden
All those starry flowers in the snow
I picked up one to get some of its glow
Golden Decembers turned into amber
Our ancestors all passed into deep slumbers
And now everything’s mine
Everything but time
How we lose our minds in this
Circus of light
I wonder where all the frogs go
To survive the cold
I can’t sleep frozen underneath
All these giant trees standing tall now for centuries
Golden Decembers turned into amber
Our ancestors all passed into deep slumbers
And now everything’s mine
Everything but time
I get distracted by this
Circus of light
Turn the lights down
For I can’t see
With the lights on.
